Welcome to the Town of York Harbour

Incorporated in 1972 and currently home to 372 residents, the Town of York Harbour is the harbouring community for the getaway island known as Governor's Island.  Visit York Harbour and explore our scenic hiking trails such as the Copper Mine Falls Trail or the Cape Blow Me Down Trail and enjoy the reward of breathtaking scenery from the top of the Cape overlooking the community and the Bay of Islands. 

York Harbour is an incorporated municipality with a post office, general store and an enclosed playground for children.  With a Bed & Breakfast and many AirBnB's in the Community, visitors can unwind after a day on the trails or on the water in comfort and enjoy fantastic meal menus and experience some of the best hospitality in Western Newfoundland.
